A few things about understanding money

In  this article I want to talk about ...  money.

I know it is a delicate subject for a lot of people and this is exacly the reason I want to talk about it.
I want to explain what the money really are and, hopefully, shed some light on this taboo subject.

What is money?

To be comfortable about a certain subject you must first understand it!

Money is a tool. They have only one specific role, to solve the problems we encounter in life.

Money are like a knife, mobile phone, TV or any other thing that makes my life easier.

Like most people, since we were children we heared all kinds of statements about money and rich people:

• money is the root of all evil
• money changes people
• money does not bring happiness
• money is the devil’s eye
• rich people are greedy
• etc.

Basically, since we are children we are indoctrinated with ideas about how bad and evil is a person with money.

For most people the money subject is something taboo.

Did you know that 90% of all break-ups and divorces are caused by financial problems?

Are money  truly evil?

As I said before, money is a tool!

Is a knife evil, is an axe evil? NO!

If you kill someone with a knife or axe, then you are evil. But if you use the knife to prepare food and use the axe to cut wood and make a shelter for a somebody, then you are good.

Money is the root of all evil. Christians will recognise this passage from the Bible.

This is partially true. The full passage is: The love of money is the root of all evil! And this is true, if your sole purpose in life is to hoard money, then  you will have and bring problems.

Money does not bring happiness. A chair also does not bring happiness, yet you have more than one!

Money changes people. Money does not change people. A tool can not change people, it only amplifies what that person is already. A good man will do more good if he has the money. An evil man will do more evil if he has money.

But rich people are greedy, corrupt, thieves etc. Don’t you watch the news?

Yes, we see those kind of examples on TV and we read about them everyday. Just because you can see a lot of evil rich men this does not mean all rich men are evil.

Let me tell you a secret. Bad news bring more audience than good news. More people watch the news that speak about murders, rapes and thefts than those who speak about charity and succes stories. The only reason evil rich mean are shown in media is beacuse they bring more audience, not because they are the majority!

In reality, there are greedy, corrupt rich people and there are greedy, corrupt poor people.

There are rich people that donate millions to charity each year and there are poor people that donate the little they have.

Being good or evil does not have anything to do with money. It’s all about your character!

If you are like me, a person that want to help others and to good things, read this carefully!

A rich person can do a thousand times more good than a poor person! The best way to help others is to become rich.
